How do I sign up?
CURRENTLY you will email us and connect, we will send you the necessary information to sign up for ZOOM classes!
You are welcome to drop-in to a class but priority will be offered to those who sign up in advance.
Please “drop us a line” if you know you will be attending so that we can be sure to guarantee your spot.
What do I bring with me?
Dress comfortably in fitted clothing (extremely loose clothing can be a distraction with movement). If you have your own mat, and/or any specialized props, feel free to bring these things as well but all equipment and props necessary for the practice will be provided.
How do I prepare?
You will benefit the most from your yoga session if you are rested and hydrated. Eat a light snack or meal 1-2 hours prior to class, honor the needs of your specific body but practice on a full stomach could inhibit your movement.
What happens when I arrive?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class start time. Please honor the practice space, quietly entering. If you need to talk to another student or the teacher, please move outside of the practice space. You will remove your shoes and socks and be directed to sign in for the class. If you have any specific restrictions, accommodations or injuries please let the instructor be aware of this so he/she can offer modifications to enhance your experience. You will set up your yoga mat (there will be borrow mats and all props necessary for the practice). Position your mat so that you can clearly see the instructor. Some postures will be demonstrated, some verbal cues will be offered. The instructor will offer hands on assists to ensure the safety and benefit of your class. (please advise the instructor if you prefer to not have hands on assists).
What happens during class?
The yoga space will be dimly lit and the music/sound in class would be based on the style of class you attend. Most classes begin and end slowly with stillness and meditation practice (this will come with more ease the more you practice). In most sessions only the instructor will speak, offering cues to movements and possibly describing the benefit of the movement. The manner in which a student enters and and exits a yoga posture is very important, therefore the instructor will be reiterating throughout the practice to breath and follow the flow of instructions. These postures are called asanas (you may have heard the term posture but translated the word asana means “seat” you will be trying to create a comfortable “seat” in each posture). You may be asked to hold or retain a certain asana or the class may involve moving through a succession of various linked postures. You may hear the ancient language of Sanskrit spoken in class, the names of postures, as you attend classes these words will feel more familiar. There will be a savasana (rest posture) offered at the end of each session and pending on the instructor, there may be gentle touch to the scalp or shoulders as well as an eyepillow. There may be a mantra (a word or phrase) offered at the finish of the session as well as the word a namaste’. (nama means: bow and tie means: you) the spoken word namaste’ would traditionally be accompanied by a mudra (or hand gesture) that would be hands coming together at the heart center acknowledging honor.
How do I pay for a class?
You may pay by cash, credit or debit (we have PayPal, Square and Venmo)
You may buy per class or per session (6 weeks )
What should I expect after my first class?
You may experience sore muscles after the first class, moving your body in different ways than previously moved! It is advisable to drink water after class and eat healthy! Avoid processed foods and sugar ( always ) but specifically when beginning your yogic journey!
How often should I practice yoga?
We suggest 2-3 times weekly minimum, but a daily practice is what will bring about the utmost of enhancements to your all over being!

Can Yoga help me to have an amazing pregnancy and smooth, happy birthing experience?
The short answer is YES! The more thorough answer is that Yoga can help us to clear the chatter in the mind. Yoga leads us down a path with the intention of liberation from suffering. If we fully embrace the teachings and the daily practice of Yoga, I believe any of the above mentioned situations to be enhanced, supported, or alleviated. In my personal experience and through 20 years of sharing and practicing this amazing science, art, system...I am confident in saying that with discipline, commitment and study, the practice of Yoga DOES enhance the all over well being of the practitioner. Yoga allows us to look deeply within. The asana practice ( movements, postures, etc. ) teaches us not only about flexibility and strength of the body, but also ( and mainly) the mind. On the mat, we are faced with the relationship of self. We are asked to sit quietly with ourselves, this is not an easy task in our busy world. This takes PRACTICE. A traditional Yoga class is taught in a group, this group, in theory, comes together without judgement, expectation or ego (this ALSO takes practice). This practice parallels our life experience. Life is about relationships. We take this to a deep level with the practice of Yoga, the relationship with self being the focus.
The BONUS of being a Yogi (one who practices Yoga) is that the therapeutic benefits of the practice itself ENHANCE our well being!
